Realfoodworks.com is a blog covering molecular/cell biology and evolutionary medicine, aimed at presenting focused news, articles and tips for both professional and non-professional readers. Jordan R. Yaron received his PhD in Biological Design from the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University. His research interest lies in the role of acute inflammation in the pathogenesis of sterile disease. His dissertation research identified novel roles for potassium and calcium ion flux in regulating the inflammasome, a central driver of inflammation and immunity.

The Realfoodworks.com is a single unified voice for biology: advising Government and influencing policy; advancing education and professional development; supporting our members, and engaging and encouraging public interest in the life sciences.

The Realfoodworks.com represents a diverse membership of individuals, learned societies and other organisations. Individual members include practising scientists, students at all levels, professionals in academia, industry and education, and non-professionals with an interest in biology. In addition, we represent Member Organisations including learned societies, corporate bodies, councils, schools and colleges.

Whether you have a professional or personal interest in biology, there are many ways to get involved with the Realfoodworks.com, including through membership, local events, grants, competitions, and Biology Week. The Realfoodworks.com is a charity (Charity No. 277981), and is incorporated by Royal Charter.
